The Fortieth Annual Abstract of Polls, Property, Taxes, etc., as 
assessed May 1, 1900, is herewith submitted, in accordance with the 
provisions of section 57, chapter 11, Public Statutes. 

The results of a comparison of the returns of 1900 with those of 
1899 are shown in the "Comparative Statement," Table L, and in 
the "Increase or Decrease," etc., Table II.
